Andrew Lauren Interiors offers many types of flooring products. Below you will find a sampling of these materials in various styles, textures and colors, as well as product information to help you make selections that fit your lifestyle needs.
A velvet plush look with a luxurious feel that has a dense level-cut pile. Yarn tufts are closely packed, presenting a smooth surface. Footprints and vacuum arks may be visible. Generally for formal settings.
Very popular cut pile carpet that has curled or twisted tufts of yarn creating a two-tone appearance. This style is good for hiding footprints and vacuum marks. Especially suitable for less formal decors.
Cut pile carpet with a very high twist level. Great performance in high traffic areas and available in various pile heights creating different looks.
Constructed of a thicker, typically longer yarn. Beautiful and comfortable underfoot, yet it may matte in high traffic areas.
Combination of cut and looped yarns that create a pattern effect by variation in surface textures. Appropriate for formal or informal room schemes. Most are great for traffic areas.
A long-lasting performer often referred to as “Berber”. Constructed of a loop pile with tufts of equal height or multi-level loops. Very durable and great for high traffic areas. More noticeable seams and coarser texture are common.
Hardwood floors create a warm, rich atmosphere of timeless beauty. With so many different wood species, stains and plank widths available, the possibilities are endless. Traditional or contemporary, formal or rustic.
Marble is crystallized limestone that comes in many different color variations and usually displays a veining pattern that adds to its uniqueness. These veins are typically different in color from the overall color of the stone.
Slate is a rustic yet elegant, extremely durable and stain resistant. High shade variation and extreme textures are common with slate. Although it does require sealing, it is used for interior and exterior applications.
Tumbled stone is marble, travertine and limestone that are tumbled and distressed to evoke a time worn look of stone from centuries past. Corners and edges will not be uniform but more rounded, creating the need for larger grout joints.
Granite is one of the hardest and densest of all natural stones. Surpassed only by the diamond as the hardest stone. Typically a high sheen product creating a feel of elegance.
Travertine in its original form has thousands of holes running through it. These holes are filled and then the stone is polished. The stone polishes to a high sheen and the fill areas remain dull creating a beautiful finish.
Limestone is a stone with a simpler look and is commonly offered in a honed or matte finish. This stone will require preventative maintenance over time, as it is a softer and very porous stone. Colors tend to be softer and more natural.
Tile provides beauty, value and durability to your home. Tile will be either ceramic or porcelain body or clay. It is available in a variety of colors, sizes and textures making it a wonderful choice for many areas of the home.
Porcelain tile is the hardest tile you can buy. These tiles are non-porous and scratch resistant. Porcelain tile does not require any sealing/annual maintenance. Through-body porcelain has the same color throughout the depth of the tile. Glazed porcelain has a colored high gloss coating on its surface for added durability and water resistance.
Sheet vinyl or resilient flooring has truly advanced from the vinyl of years past. It is available in a broad range of textures, patterns, colors and price points. Very durable and low maintenance.
Laminate wood is a perfect balance of beauty, durability and budget. Laminate is a wood “look-a-like” product. It is NOT natural and is manufactured in layers (Particleboard, resin, protective topcoats etc.) to create a finished product which looks like wood.
